This weekend has seen some great ‘read a book’ weather and it looks like we have a bit more rain to come. It might be a good idea to pack a raincoat and, if your child is a puddle jumper (and who isn’t?), a spare pair of dry socks. The term isn’t over yet and we want to stay happy and healthy. There are some nasty bugs floating around the community and there have been a couple of instances of chicken pox and a few cases of head lice. It’s probably a good reminder to take care of ourselves and keep a close eye on our busy, but tired, little learners.
Matariki Dinner
Our Matariki Dinner is scheduled for Thursday June 24th in our school hall at 5.30pm. Everyone is welcome to come and share food from your country if you would like. Otherwise just bring a plate of food. We have been having these dinners now for five years and they are always lots of fun and well supported.

School Photos will be taken by Photolife (www.photolife.co.nz) on the morning of Monday 28 June. An information sheet was sent home last week - for more information please check the school newsletter. A warning that Kakano 123 are having their photos quite early in the day - please, don't be late.
