Perseverance Assembly
Week 5 Term 2 2021
This week is Samoan Language Week. This year’s theme for Vaiaso o le Gagana Samoa - Samoa Language Week 2021 is Poupou le lotoifale. Ola manuia le anofale which means strengthen the posts of your house, for all to thrive.
When you’re building a foundation for a fale (house) it can’t have a weak foundation or posts. This is the same for the foundations of our families, schools and churches that play an important role in strengthening Gagana Samoa (the Samoan Language). Language is important for the foundations of our overall well being.
Here are some youtube links to hear and learn the song, 'Le Aute':
On Wednesday and Friday lunchtimes, Mrs Mareroa will be in Kakano with some Samoan-related activities.

Kakano 3 Lunchtime Chaos
Mrs T took an ipad on duty on Monday and Tuesday so that you could see our monkeys in action with their friends. She saw games of Lava Monster, acorn collectors, hand games, dirt pies being made in a kitchen, monkeys swinging on the bars and people playing in the autumn leaves. We are having so much fun playing with our friends. The boys used rock paper scissors to sort out turns, people were inviting other kids to play and explaining the game to new players... Mrs T is really pleased with the caring and sharing that she saw.
